Discover how a site about
Hypnosis, built by one woman in a very small town has reached thousands of people all over the world!

OK, I'm going to tell you the truth.  We all know that there are many people out there who don't like Hypnosis.  Wait, I said the Truth.  There are some people out there who hate Hypnosis.  Some have told me their religion says it comes from the devil or it's witchcraft or astrology.

I know, it's hard to believe.  Hypnosis is such a fascinating state of mind and interesting subject. It seems hard to believe anyone would think badly of it.

But I have a theory about that.

I think that a lot of people who don't like Hypnosis, just don't like it because of the way it was taught to them.   And that might mean they were never taught about Hypnosis but only know what they see on TV or in the movies.  Or they might have been taught about Hypnosis from someone who never experienced hypnotherapy or saw it demonstrated.  Now I don't want to put down teachers or pastors or even movies, I love movies.  But to really learn about something it's a good idea to research it for yourself or ask an expert, don't you think?

And sometimes you just need to learn about a thing in bite size pieces of info. Especially when there are a lot of technical words involved.

That is what Indiana Hypnosis Center is all about.  I put one idea at a time out there so you can better understand Hypnosis a bite at a time.

Hypnosis is a huge field of study that we hypnotherapists are constantly studying with on-going education.   It is a field that I can't possibly cover in one blog, but I'm going to do my best with subjects that are interesting and interactive.

Hypnosis can positively affect physical problems like chronic pain or migraines or IBS.   It can improve emotional problems like anxiety or bad habits or trauma reconciliation.  The truth is, we just don't even know all of the things that can benefit from Hypnosis because that seems to be limited by only our own imagination.

Here are some of the COOL things you'll find here:

So just who is this Angie J. Hernandez  who created this Cool site about Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?

Angie J. Hernandez, Corporate Speaker

I'm Angie J. Hernandez and I'm a Certified Hypnotherapist.  I grew up here in Milford, Indiana working in our family business, Jessop's Candies.   We made and sold candy at fairs in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.

I studied hypnotherapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute of Tarzana, California which is a very cool school in which to learn.  And I've been practicing Hypnotherapy here in Milford ever since.

I became fascinated with Hypnosis when I took an introductory course at HMI in 2008.  I was intrigued and still am how a person's mind can affect their physical body and spirit.  It was so interesting to learn the language of the mind and know that you can simply ask it in the right way and you can get it on your side!  I have studied many of the myriad of ways hypnosis can help people and I've turned that into a practice to benefit many more people than can come to Milford, Indiana.

A lot of people want to know if I'm just some weird person who took a weekend course and then hung out a shingle.  It's a fair question.

I took a year's intensive course in Hypnotherapy from HMI followed by a 200 hour internship. I am certified by the Hypnotherapist Union Local 472.

Here is a list of some of the projects and publications I've been involved in:

  • Co-Author of "Hypnotic Women", a collection of therapeutic scripts, poems, stories, and inductions, sold in paperback and Kindle on Amazon

That's about it for now. I hope you enjoy the site.  If you find value in it, leave me a comment on the relevant post or video.
