#5 KNUCKLE TOUCH ANCHOR

Touching your hands or knuckles is something we do without much thought about it.  I’ll bet you do because I do.  I often clasp my hands to have somewhere to put them when standing and talking to someone.  It feels awkward to me to just stand with my hands at my side.

You can take a positive feeling and create a switch to turn that feeling on any time you want.  Here you will take a feeling of calm and relaxation and attach it to the touch of your hand to your knuckles.

   We’ve been working on installing anchors or switches to overcome the feeling of anxiety.  I wanted to give you several examples so that you could find certain ones that you relate to.  Today our anchor is touching your knuckles and in this video I’ll be showing you how to install yourself like a switch that you can turn on.

   Here’s how you do it:

   Step #1   Remember a time when you felt completely calm and relaxed. Let that feeling run as strongly as possible through your physical body.

   Step #2   When that feeling is at its peak, touch your knuckles in a way that feels natural for you.

   Step #3  Now, whenever you feel anxiety, touch your knuckles in the same way and it will bring that calm and relaxation to your whole body.
