Anchors are a very easy way to have a touchstone to calm.  Here’s another one that you may like.  I’ve been showing you a variety of anchors because I know that certain ones may appeal to you and others may not.  

   Setting anchors or a type of physical switch, should be done in such a way that you can always use it.  For those who wear a ring that they never take off, today’s anchor can work.  If you only wear rings sometimes, this is not a good one for you.  

   Touching your ring is a subtle way to fire off your calming anchor and one that other people would not take notice of.  In fact, you may already be doing this in times of stress.  Let’s just refine the action by anchoring calm to it.

You can take a positive feeling and create a switch to turn that feeling on any time you want.  Here you will take a feeling of calm and relaxation and attach it to the touch of your hand to your ring.

 Here’s how you do it:

   Step #1   Remember a time when you felt completely calm and relaxed. Let that feeling run as strongly as possible through your physical body.

   Step #2   When that feeling is at its peak, touch your ring in a way that feels natural for you.

   Step #3  Now, whenever you feel anxiety, touch your ring in the same way and it will bring that calm and relaxation to your whole body.
