When you come to me for hypnotherapy sessions, we have a bond of confidentiality. You will tell me what you want to achieve and I will ask you questions to help me do my job. You may choose to tell me some things you want to reveal about your issue and those things stay in my office. You may choose not to tell me certain things. That’s OK, too. We’re going to do our work regardless and you’ll see the benefits.
For some issues, there are therapies we can use wherein you haven’t told me anything about your problem or past issues. I may know only the most basic and vague information. This will work for some things but not for others.
For example, you may come to me for Weight Loss Hypnosis and you tell me that it might be related to your childhood. But you don’t want to talk about your childhood with me. That’s OK. I can clear away a lot of the feelings about the childhood without you telling me anything about it. But if you came to me to Stop Smoking Hypnosis, I will want to hear about how smoking makes you feel, where you smoke each cigarette of the day and what you’ve tried to be able to quit in the past. That treatment that would help the first example would not work in the second. That’s where my experience and training comes in.
In conclusion, you can come into a hypnosis session with me with complete confidence that your innermost secrets are safe. You’ll also know that anything you do choose to tell me, stays confidential between us.
